OLIVIa morganett
My name is Olivia and I am a Computer Science major and Mathematics minor at the University of Kentucky, where I am in my junior year. I am a member of the Honors Program, a sorority, Tau Beta Pi Honor Society, and Society of Women Engineers. I am originally from Louisville, KY but currently live in Atlanta, GA. Through this class, I have been able to be pushed outside of my comfort zone to work with these kids and be a positive figure in their lives. I have truly learned the value of service, and how to let the experience change you beyond the hours spent at the organization.

RAHUL ANNABATHULA
Hello, my name is Rahul, and I am currently a senior at the University of Kentucky. I will be entering medical school this fall. Community service has always been an integral part of my life. However, the Honors 399 course has afforded me the opportunity to expand the impact of my service within the community. The lessons I have learned from this course will allow me to further my service interests and establish myself as an individual who is committed to leaving a positive mark on the world around me.

ASHLEY MATTINGLY
My name is Ashley Mattingly and I am a sophomore at UK. I am pursuing an Animal Science degree in hopes of attending vet school upon graduation. I am an active person who enjoys sports, hiking, and reading. This is my first semester in the honors program. I am involved at the Kentucky Horse Park and help coach high school basketball. My favorite things to do are workout at the HIT Center and picnic with friends at Camp Nelson. I have grown up in Lexington but never really been involved in my community. This class has taught me not only to take an active part in the community but to do it with an open mind and respect.

JESSE giles
Hi. My name is Jesse Giles! I am a biology major in my sophomore year at the University of Kentucky. I am a member of the UK women’s club soccer team and in the Honors Program. Before college I spent the first 18 years of my life in Elizabethtown, Kentucky where I developed a passion for my community and serving others. In Elizabethtown, I had the opportunity of working with children in an afterschool program called Panther Place helping them with homework and being a mentor. In Lexington, working with the Salvation Army in the Boys and Girls Club has been such a blessing and has me helped connect with not only the children and staff but also my new community.
